GLENDALE-

Arizona Lowrider Super Show isa big show that has been happening since 1980. The Arizona Lowrider Super Show has been something many people come from around to the world to either see or to place their very own vehicle in, or some come for the music.

The people who run the Arizona Super Show gather different musicians such as MC Magic, Lil Rob, and bandas. Many people travel from different states and countries to come just enjoy the show by the different types of vehicles showed. Vehicles from motorcycles, bikes, pedal cars, strollers, UTVS, SXS,  and trailer parking. Many vendors also come and show off their clothing brands.

Some car clubs come from different  parts of the world such as California, China, Texas, Japan, Arizona, and many more. Weeks or even days before the show people begin to clean up their cars or  sometimes even months to years before to redesign their car into something new. Many put a lot of money into getting their vehicle ready to present and outshine everyone who comes. Most people who recreate their low lows (is another word that some use fro the word lowrider) spend up to thousands of dollars. The money is spent on new paint jobs, pin striping, added flakes, and added hydraulics. At the end, it truly shows how much passion many have for their vehicles.

Many photographers come to photograph the vehicles as well. One photographer  known as CJ’s Photos is a photographer who has attended the Arizona Lowrider Super Show for the past 3 years. The environment at the super show is really busy with vendors and spectators, however, it’s almost stressful for photographers.

“For photographers it’s crazier because you want to get the perfect shot but there are other people everywhere so you have to be patient and wait for the right time to get the shot,” said CJ’s Photos.

Many photographers get the opportunity to network with other photographers, car clubs, and vendors that are interested in hiring for work to photograph them or their cars.

“It’s good meeting new people and new photographers at the show because there are people and photographers from all over the world and you get to network with them,” said CJ’s Photos.

“I like that the show is more mainstream now and people are either curious and come check it out or just come as a tradition. I really like to see the families there with the kids checking out the cars with their dads,” said CJ’s Photos.

This couple have dressed in an attire know as pin-up. Many men and women dress up in this attire to show off the old school and Chicano dressing. Many wear different style clothing just to get their photo taken, but many do it for fun others do it because that’s their passion and love. Their heart goes out to the love of low-riders and background of the community. Many can say ” I like the cars” but many can also say ” I love the history and the background on many different aspect of the low rider living and style.”
