The queen of heartbreak ballads is back, and better than ever.

Coming out of her 3-year hiatus, Adele released the video for her already chart-topping single, “Hello,” last month, and fans everywhere were more than excited for her upcoming album.

When her album was released on Nov. 20th, fans were a bit disappointed to find out that it would not be available on music streaming services, but unsurprisingly, it reached number one on the iTunes charts in over 100 countries.

In less than a week, 25 had sold a whopping 2.8 million copies in the U.S. and 800,000 in the U.K., making history as the best-selling number one ever.

Adele described this new album as a “make-up record,” instead of the break-up records she is famously and lovingly known for. She said that this album is more of one that gets to know her.

With songs like “When We Were Young” and the already all too well-known “Hello,” there is an overwhelming sense of nostalgia that listeners didn’t even know was possible to feel (myself included).

In short, Adele did not disappoint and 25 is definitely a record that will be sung and cried to for years

Now, if only Adele could drop that eyeliner and contour tutorial.
