From the new hit band Lovejoy, “Normal People Things” is their newest single with almost 20 million streams on Spotify, this new single is a rock / upbeat style song. The song is revolved around a person that’s scared to attach themselves to someone as well as not liking their own personal body image.

The lyrics hit towards finding someone they want to care about, but then believing that they shouldn’t by second guessing themselves.
“Spending days in, self-medicating lost too much weight, unpleasant aftertaste.”
These lyrics show that the person is using medication to purge and lose weight, unpleasant aftertaste throwing up. The self-medicating also has unforeseen consequences

In using medication leads to panic attacks and loss of hearing, It could very well be the other way round, the panic attacks and loss of hearing could be the problem and self-medication could be the solution but in doing so leads to the throwing up and un healthy weight loss but that’s up to the listener.
