For anyone unknown to the stuff we do for digital media, let me tell you of one thing that we go to yearly. The iconic ASU location!
But it’s even more special as we happen to go to AIPA’s Fall Convention, held in the Memorial Union at Arizona State University in Tempe. Journalism advisers and students from across the state were invited to join in a day full of diverse media workshops and professional speakers alike! Advisers also had an opportunity to connect with one another during lunch while all the students enjoy the MU food court on the first floor too! Finally, the event culminates in our keynote speaker followed by the AIPA fall contest presentation where we celebrate the best of Arizona scholastic journalism, which happened to be radio star Crisco Kidd! I’m not “Kidd”ing with you. But it was even more special as we happened to go during its 75th Anniversary!
How cool is that? As it does make you feel more welcome to the world and possibilities of journalism, that not only this event, but as a whole! And oh, in case you do want to learn more about this event or anything else about AIPAs events, feel free to go to azaipa.org for more info! If you also feel curious more about La Joya’s media, you can also go to lajoyalink.com for all the drama and more about La Joya! I hope this cover story helped you learn more about what La Joya’s media team and what it does on a daily basis for journalism!
