Now a days, people talk about football, softball, volleyball, etc. But does anyone ever consider worrying about cross country and wonder what they do? Cross country seems to be a very fun sport considering if you like running in heat.
As we interviewed some of our players, Eliana N. said, “We work like one big family.” That’s what a team needs right?
During summer, the team had summer workouts where they did 6 mile or 7 mile runs that really helped them improve their stamina. They would start at 5:30 in the morning and would end after everyone finished running.
The relationship between the players and the coach has increased from friendly to more of a family. The players could describe their coach both as motivational and a leader on and off the field. The coach loves his athletes as much as he loves running. He has been running for 20+ years starting in the 7th grade. They constantly work together as a team and helps motivate each other not only as a team but academically also.
