Honestly, this song could be way better. The guitar bits mainly were my issue. This song would’ve been so much better if the guitar wasn’t so quiet compared to the Bass.

The next issue I had was with the bass’s tone. The down tuning (presumably a five-string bass) was good, but the issue with the tone is the distortion used.

A quick hot take, but Cliff Burton is the only person who can pull off using bass distortion. The bass on this track honestly just sounded like low tuned noise.

The drums were phenomenal, using double kick drums as a rhythm is what pulls death metal together. The synths were great at making the song sound like it has a voice as well.

The things I would fix with this song is to take off the distortion on the bass and make the guitar somewhat louder than the bass.

Typically, the bass is the rhythm of the song whereas the guitar is the lead and gives the song it’s melody, but this song tried to make the guitar the rhythm of the song which doesn’t exactly sound that great.

Other than the sound, the cover art was also made beautifully and gives off a “DragonForce” (power metal band) “Cannibal Corpse” (death metal bad) type style which I think fits the feel of the song perfectly.

Other than that, if the issue with bass and guitar was fixed, it would easily become a mainstream Death Metal song.
