Noah Lyles is a confident Olympic sprinter who has absolutely no problem with speaking his mind, and this has caused a lot of negative reactions from it. Following his win in the 200m race in August of 2023, Noah took a jab at the NBA by saying “World champion of what?” Noah felt confident in this press conference, stating that while all of the NBA teams are based in the USA, he beat sprinters from around the world. Now, this was a long time ago, but the basketball community didn’t forget. All eyes were on him during his 100m final, when the lights were bright, he was able to perform and win the gold “America! I told you! I got this!”.

Noah proved himself against NBA players who once used their platform to put fire on Noah after his quote. Like most things, people move on, but Noah is back under the spotlight after making a comment on arguably, one of the most dominant and greatest player in the league right now.

Noah Lyles has not had a good relationship with the basketball community, and even NBA players. This will most likely stay for a long time as he’s expressed numerous times his disinterest in the accomplishments, and basketball events. Hopefully they are able to make amends in the future, but if Noah Lyles continues to slander the basketball community, there will be no end in their beef.
