Tensions are rising, both in and outside of the United States.
Since the death of Renee Good, the Twin Cities of Minnesota haven’t rested. The current state of Minneapolis is nothing short of chaotic, so much so that President Trump has threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act. Which allows the President to deploy active-duty military soldiers into states. As of January 18th, 2026, President Trump has 1,500 soldiers ready if and when he chooses to send them.
This is only what is happening within the United States. In recent years, the United States have had their eyes set on Greenland. The president wants to “take ownership” of the land because of its potential for oil and rare earth minerals; but it is still a semi-autonomous country within the kingdom of Denmark. When asked about how far the president would be willing to go to acquire Greenland, he responded with “You’ll find out.” This threat, if carried out, will mark the end of NATO, which is comprised of 30 members in Europe and 2 in North America. Whether or not every member will take action is only up to speculation, but Denmark has clearly stated that they will not “Bow down” to the presidents “bullying tactics.”
