Many people play video games, its a fact. Some may have been playing for only a couple of months while many others have been playing for years on end, but one thing we have in common is the fact that our skills improve. Some are faster than others and some that have been playing for years still have trouble winning their first competitive match. Skills aren’t that easy to improve and requires some hard work to achieve, so I interviewed some of my friends that has extraordinary skill to find out how they became that good.
I First interviewed my friend Cris on how he became a skilled player at MLB. He gave me some insight on the game and showed me how to not only become better at throwing the ball, but he also taught me how to have better timing when the ball is flying at me at speeds over 100mph. First of all we had to play on a Friends only game (of course), then he told me to always take my risks and don’t wait too long for the ball to get too close or you will have already gotten a strike without hitting the ball. He also taught me to not waist too much time when I’m throwing the ball. Cris then proceeded to tell me this:
“Throw the ball as fast as possible when you have the chance to, now you don’t want to throw it off the bat and not even have enough time for you to think, but I am saying is don’t give the batter a huge margin time to think and predict your next move, the more time, the better the guess will be, the less time, the harder it will get for the batter to hit the ball. Also you should practice on your aim, sure it might not seem like you would need the best aim in this game, but accuracy and reflexes are things that really do matter at times”.
I can say for certain that after I used these words to my advantage, I most definitely can say that my skill increased by a long shot.

The next person that I got to interview was my good friend Kevin on how he got so good at the popular game, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. He was very detailed when he told me how got so good at the game, he went as far as to tell me one of his secrets. He has one or two of his friends to go in a friends only lobby and has them run around to use them as target practice, they work better than any other target because they accurately depict how people react to gunshots in the game. Others would jump and sometimes people tend to duck when they are under fire and they do start to panic in these types of situations. Another tip that Kevin gave me is the fact that you must always be smart in creating your class depending on your playstyle. Silencers and snipers are appropriate for long range combat, while things like shotguns, assault rifles and good attachments are things that really help in the matter. “Although your setup isn’t really that important, it does give you a small step up. Good internet, a wide monitor and making sure you are comfortable are absolutely key in gaming”.
Kevin said. After trying his techniques to get better, I have seen improvement in my aim and my reflexes have gotten way better.

The last person I interviewed was my friend Santino. He is a really good player at Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Although I am also a pro at that game, I still managed to get some new ways to duel in this game. First, Santino did state that saving chakra is key and keeping the most chakra in your gauge is one way to set you up for a successful game. He also told me that choosing a good main for the game is also good, Itachi Uchiha is my main while Santino chose to main (Sage Mode) Naruto. Those two have a overpowered move set and they can easily win you a ranked game (if you know their move set that is).
