Its now October and the biggest thing about this month is Halloween. With Halloween around the corner, we can guarantee that money will be flying everywhere for costumes, candy and everything else everyone can get their hands on. With that, some companies will be booming with business while some others will have to wait until the Halloween fever dies down.
Starting with Halloween companies like spirit, business wont be at the best that it has ever been and the reason is not surprising. Online shopping is taking over very fast with over 2 billion people currently using online shopping regularly. The numbers are expecting to grow more and more as time goes on and since the number of people shopping online has increased, the number of people going to get their costumes in person will gradually decrease. You can get these pieces of décor and costumes off the websites that sells these items, but the companies will most definitely be making way more money off of the online portions than the portions made off the in person stores.
The biggest money maker next to costumes is candy. Candy is a seen as a massive juggernaut in the Halloween business and it pulls in so much money, in fact each year, candy itself pulls in over $2 billion each year alone! This year we can see a huge rise in sales for candy from online shopping due to the Coronavirus still around. The years before that weren’t so different either, although there were many people going out to get their candy and costumes, others were staying inside and purchasing. Amazon is a massive example of this. Since Amazon is a company that sells both costumes and candy, they are considered to be one of the biggest (if not, the biggest) candy, costume and Halloween asset seller in the world.
Overall, Amazon gets most of the customers looking for things for Halloween while some other stores are trying to keep up with the trends and sell Halloween assets, yet not doing it as well as some other companies.
