On January 4th of 2024, a new Chick-Fil-A opened on Estrella Parkway. This location is about a 20-minute drive from La Joya Community High School. The building still looks brand new, and I noticed this location is slightly isolated from other stores and restaurants in the area due to construction. As you walk in, the smell of tasteful food is promising. The dining area at this location was very open and larger than the average Chick-Fil-A dining room. Additionally, all the available tables were wiped clean and ready to be used.
I started with the Chick-Fil-A Deluxe Sandwich with no pickles. It was bought to my table in only 6 minutes which is a good wait time considering I was there during lunch time. The sandwich itself was arranged neatly and the bun was surprisingly very smooth. The different flavors and textures of the sandwich went really well together and complimented each other nicely.
For my side dish, I ordered the famous Chick-Fil-A Waffle Fries and I also tried some of their Chicken Noodle Soup. The Waffle Fries were somewhat disappointing as I’ve ordered them before and they were very enjoyable, but this time they were soggy and rather salty. On the other hand, this was my first time trying the Chicken Noodle Soup and it was exceptional. It was served hot and the none of the flavors were too overpowering.
There were lots of drinks to choose from and I went with their Seasonal Mango Passion Sunjoy. For context, a “Sunjoy” is a mix of sweet tea and lemonade. This drink was flavorful and tasted exactly how it sounds. It wasn’t too sweet, which made it better in my opinion and you could definitely taste the sweet tea in the beverage. For dessert, I tried a bit of a Chocolate Chunk Cookie and a Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Both were delicious but unfortunately a bit stale and not warmed up at all.
Lastly, the customer service was excellent; the staff were extremely attentive and had great attitudes, which is commonly expected from Chick-Fil-A but is always favorable. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and the environment felt more relaxing and well-lit than the other locations I’ve been to. I absolutely believe that the 20-minute drive is worth the experience.
