Mr. Arellano is a history teacher at La Joya Community High School. He teaches world history for sophomores. He has been in the education field for 22 years and wants to help support younger generations grow. He has been at La Joya ever since it was being built. He was also a coach for football and wrestling.
He wishes that he payed more attention into the classroom, other than coaching sports. Before teaching history, he taught math for students who mostly spoke English. Getting the opportunity to teach history excited him, due to his ongoing love for history.
“I love the way it shapes us into where we are now.” He states.
Studying history and seeing our growth in our society will always be something Mr. Arellano will always be passionate about. While in college, he knew he always wanted to teach history while completing his college years. Although he doubted becoming a teacher, he knew it was his passion to teach.
During his younger years, he used to play sports like football, track, and wrestling. He wants to tell his past self to enjoy almost everything while you have it. Mr. Arellano values life more than anything and will always be there for his students. He wants to help his students grow to be the best they can be.
Mr. Arellano will always be an astonishing teacher here at La Joya that will always make an impact on everyone, he is widely respected throughout the campus.
