Nina Saunders is a sophomore world history teacher, she just started teaching here at La Joya in August of 2023. Nina used to teach at Estrella High School and transferred to La Joya because she loved how the staff and student treated her during her internship. Ms. Saunder considers her student like her nieces and nephews which helps her grow friendships with them. Nina says she became a teacher so that she can still get her voice out there.
