It seems like just yesterday it was Thanksgiving, now one of the most joyous times of the year has come around. It’s Christmas time! From mistletoes to hot chocolate, parades, and festive decorations filling homes.
Arizona has finally cooled down enough for everyone this holiday season. People can now switch from shorts and t-shirts to bundling up in coats and pants to go enjoy the bright holiday Christmas lights. Common places people visit around this time of year are Phoenix Zoolights and Glendale Glitters.
The Phoenix Zoo displays millions of bright and colorful Christmas lights. The lights include 3-D sculptures of all kinds of animals and plants. They have now included two new Music in Motion shows that feature songs from the movie “The Polar Express” and “Winter Palace”. So take your families now and go enjoy the fun and festive attractions from 5:30pm-10:30pm. Hurry quick because it ends on Jan. 10th, 2016.
Another place that thousands of people visit around Christmas is Glendale Glitters. Glendale Glitters displays 1.5 million colorful lights throughout 16 blocks of downtown Glendale. It also includes an amazingly bright 30-foot holiday tree. Beyond the lights there are many other interactive things to take part of. Those things include, rides, bounce houses, performances from different artists on the weekend, and many different family friendly activities to enjoy. Glendale Glitters is open from 5pm-10pm. Don’t forget to visit while you still have the chance because it will be closing on Jan. 9th, 2016.
