Does death really come in threes? Alan Rickman, David Bowie, and Lemmy Kilmister. I know you’ve heard of these names before, that is because they have recently passed away, all due to cancer.
Alan was known for his acting, David for his musical talents, and Lemmy for his musical talents along with founding Motörhead.
They all dealt with their death different ways. Alan Rickman knew of his cancer but chose not inform any one that he was terminally ill except some of his closest family. David Bowie knew about his cancer 18 months prior to his death and produced and made an entire album about his feelings towards his death and released it a week before his passing. Sadly, Lemmy Kilmister was not informed of his cancer until two days prior of his death and it struck everyone as a surprise.
“Death comes in threes”. There is a myth that everything comes in threes but is it true? They were three British icons, three of them were diagnosed with cancer, and three of them died all within days apart. Many cultures have “ritual numbers”, numbers they believe that everything comes in. For Americans, it is in three.
It may just be a superstition but there have been many cases where death strikes in threes mostly within people’s family or relatives. Maybe it is just a coincidence or maybe death does happen in threes. The world may never know.
