How would you feel about drinking water? It’s good for you right? Well, what if I told you, you had to drink water with a brown taint to it? That’s just gross, but the people in Flint, Michigan have been told by the government that it’s safe. Yeah, no not really.
The water supply in Flint, Michigan is tainted with corroded pipes, Lyme, and rust. This stuff is making the water that comes out of everyday sinks, showers, and even drinking water a brownish color. Even though there are many complaints, the government is telling the residents of Flint that it is still safe to drink. Now that doesn’t make much sense. Who in the right mind would drink brown water? Nobody!
People have called into health departments because there are people getting sick. There is hard evidence linking all the sickness straight to the brown, corroded infested waters. So, what are they going to do about it?
The water treatment plants are currently looking for a solution for people to drink clean water. The pipes are soon going to be cleaned in order to stop the flow of brown water and the plants are looking for a way to not use any chemicals to clean the waters. There is a need to lower the lead levels in the water, but that crisis is almost over.
So water wise, make sure you don’t only drink water, but drink clean water. If it’s brown, flush it down but if it’s clear, just drink it.
