Are you looking for some fun cool temperature activities to do outside? Are you looking to get out of the house? Oh boy do we have some suggestions for you. Today we spoke with Mr. Amram and Ms. Slaeker who are all teachers at La Joya Community High School.
During this time of year, the temperatures are low and the sun is up. What better to do than enjoy the cool temperatures and head outside! There are so many different fun outside activities. You could kick a ball around, ride a bike, go for a walk/jog, or even just sit outside to read a book. In todays world, the younger generations are spending more time than they should inside either sleeping or on their electronic devices. Why waste our time inside when we have the whole world to make our own. Get outside and use your imagination, get creative, or even call your friends over.
Mr. Amram was asked what his favorite outside activities are.
Mr. Amram said, “Some of my favorite outside activities during cooler temperatures are hiking, running, and skiing. My favorite spot to hike in this area is South Mountain but Flat Iron in the Superstition Mountains is my absolute favorite hike within a close distance to Phoenix. The winter months have perfect weather for afternoon runs, except for the days when it’s super windy!”
Ms. Slaeker was asked what their favorite outside activity is.
Ms. Slaeker said, “My two favorite outside activities are shooting hoops or going for evening walks around my neighborhood.”
So Lobos, what will you choose to do? Will you get in on the awesome outside action or remain indoors? Granted that COVID has changed people’s thoughts on hanging out with their friends, it isn’t always the worst idea. Let’s see our Lobos in on the action!
