Oil is very important when it comes to trade. The automobiles we use for trade goods use oil in order to work, but oil is a non-renewable substance so if we use it its gone. It makes humans wonder, what will happen if we run out if oil?

There is 7.1 billion people on this earth and around 1.2 billion cars that use up oil.  Cars aren’t only machines that use up oil. Major trader ships use oil. Those ships are important because they got bring clothes, notebooks and the computers you’re using for school everyday.

According to Institute of Mechanical Engineers there is enough oil to last the world till 2042 in our current production.

“The world economy relies so much on oil.” Mr. Arellano said, a La Joya history and geography teacher. Later he said if we cant find a alternative to oil. Anybody that live sin a modern civilized society could suffer from that.

Thankfully there are multiple car companies that are discovering alternative to oil. Most car companies are making electric cars such as Tesla, Toyota and Kia.

More of the alternative energy sources are compressed air, biomass(wood chips) and even vegetable oil!

But one of the problems with alternative energy sources that it is difficult to produce energy in large amounts. Plus maximum speeds are only 50 to 100 MPH on an electric car.

Weather you like it or not this is the future for America and the rest of the world.
