Hey Lobos, I’m here to talk to you guys about a newer band called Almost Monday. This band has a nice and consistent sound that seems reminiscent of a weird mix of American Authors and early 2000s Maroon 5. Their music is very uplifting and carries a lot of that summer feeling. Like, you know that feeling you get during the summer when you get to go on vacation with your family or just hanging out with your friends? This band gives a lot of that positive vibration and summertime energy for them being fairly new. The band formed in 2015 during the back end of that final boy band era of groups like One Direction, Train, Big Time Rush, and American Authors; but the band had not started putting out music until 2020 (according to Apple Music). They seem to possess a unique sound I can’t describe; you need to listen to them to understand the sound. If you are looking for a new group to listen to while you study or vibe to while you are on a road trip, Almost Monday is the up-and-coming group for you. If you like the band and want a poster of them, there will be a 13inx9in poster available in the library starting on Wednesday November 20th; but they are available in a limited quantity and once we run out, there won’t be any more. The library does events like this pretty frequently involving many up-and-coming artists; like just last year there was a poster with Benson Boone. You know the guy that sang, “Don’t take these beautiful things that I’ve got.” So, go check out Almost Monday on their Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. If you want to listen to their new album, DIVE, head over to their Spotify page to listen to all of the music.
