A picture of Houston, Texas after Hurricane Harvey has made landfall.

Ever since Hurricane Harvey made landfall on August 26th, many Celebrities have done as much in their power to help every one that has been effected by the hit of Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey was categorized as a category 4 hurricane, with wind speeds up to 135 Mph and 50 inches of rain in many parts of Texas. After it hit Texas, it left Texas residents with plenty of repairs and damage that will take large amounts of money to complete them all. Many celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Miley Cyrus, and Phora have tried to help people in Houston with the start of foundations and donations of supplies or money.

Kevin Hart, World Wide Comedian, has started a campaign and donated $25,000 to help The Red Cross pay for the victims needs. Harts campaign has donated $1,409,772 within 9 days of its creation. Any contributions could and would help people in need. If you would like to help you may do so here, https://cdn.crowdrise.com/o/en/team/kevinhart?utm_source=KHSocial&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=KevinHart.

“Kevin Hart, has always been suck a nice and humble person, but with the action he took of donating more than 1 Million dollars, is going to really help victims of Hurricane Harvey.” Stated Deandre Denson, Senior at La Joya High School.

Miley Cyrus, Singer/Songwriter, has donated $500,000 through her foundation, Happy Hippy Foundation to help relief the hurricane disasters.

“Through everything that Miley has been through, her donating a huge amount of her money really is showing that she is changing for the better.” Commented a Junior Student at La Joya High School.

Phora, Upcoming Singer/Songwriter, has decided to get his amazing fan base and other California Residents help out by hosting a meet and greet in Los Angeles. For every person who showed up to the meet and greet, was required to bring any supplies that will help or benefit anyone in Houston in need of help. Phora and his assistants were not accepting any money donations, due to many scammers “promising” on helping Hurricane Harvey Victims.

“Phora isn’t a rapper that is very well known, but with this Meet and Greet that he did for no profit, shows how real he could be and isn’t only using his fame for money.” Stated Priscilla Hernandez, new fan of Phora.

Many people have helped Harvey victims with everything they had to donate. Many other foundations, organizations, and celebrities are still in the process of helping. If you would like to help with any donations the Red Cross is a good place to start: https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey?scode=RSG00000E017&utm_campaign=Harvey&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrOiRlLiS1gIVSmp-Ch1_9QXYEAAYASAAEgJN3fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJGjgZi4ktYCFY7nZAodcEoD_A
