Save your Environment, instead of Damaging it

Earth Day

Daisy Aguirre Castillo, Staff

Have you ever thought of what one thing you do can affects the environment, your home? Well simple things like driving cars, using factories for work and throwing trash on land or the ocean, damage the earth. All those actions are pollution, in many different ways, lets raise awareness on what should not be done.

Earth Day April 22

Earth Day began April of 1970, and to this day it still continues.  People try to focus on promoting different ways to clean and protect the environment.  Such as following the three simple r’s, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Try to cut down everything you throw away and conserve natural resources.

What is one main thing that humans do that affects the earth daily? Pollution. Pollution is a way to damage the earth in every single way, it makes the environment dirty, destroyed and unsafe for humans themselves, animals and land as well.

Instead of using your automobile to get you to destination b from destination a, try using another way to get there.

Car Pollution

Using a automobile releases different greenhouse gases which is unhealthy to intake from the atmosphere. Alternatively, use a bike or walk if you are going to a close destination. Otherwise use public transit if it is far. If you are going with a group of people, decide on carpooling. Each one of those ways decreases the chances of pollution.

Additionally, don’t throw away items that can be reused! Take them to

different stores like Goodwill, Thrift shops and Savers. Give them your unwanted things, and give someone else an opportunity with them.

Instead of buying items, knowing one day you’ll not want it, buy used. You can find clothes to decorations and more at stores that are meant for being reused. On the plus side you’ll spend less money and it is as good as new.

Remember to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
