Hello helloo Lobos! In today story we are going to talk about why teens stress so much in high school and in general. This story is meant for informative purposes only and to educate teens and others about stress and how to deal with them or improve.
Everyday teens wake up at around 5 or 6 to go to school and begin the day, teens have to take 6 classes in total every day and maintain a good grade to pass and to graduate. But in those classes, there are different assignments, homework, environment, and people. Its great and good to expand the mind of teens and get them ready and prepared for the real world they will face off within 4 years of being in high school. But within the halls of high school are stress, anxiety, depression, and much more that teens suffer from. Teenagers’ minds are not yet matured and developed, and this is all due to their hormones, these hormones cause physical growth and sexual development in the body and mind and causes their moods to be much stronger and because of that, they are in danger of anxiety, depression because teens are more vulnerable in this state, especially in school. Ever since elementary school, they used uniforms to make all kids feel equal and not above another, so they all feel valued and respected. The uniform in elementary school also helps them dress more appropriately to be in a learning environment so they won’t easily be distracted by what they wear. In high school there aren’t many schools that have or require uniforms to be worn. This makes the chances of being bullied higher. Teens constantly face these challenges and more due to the development of society that changes every day. Teens worry of what other view them and want to fit in like the rest, even if it means changing who they are and who they want to be. Teens also suffer from grades and test that causes them to stress about classes and if they can do it. This makes them feel more uneasy and more nervous.
Here are some ways to help with these stressful times for your teens. You can always go and talk to a trusted adult, maybe your favorite teacher or your counselor or even your parents. I know it might feel weird to open up with what you feel or what you want but it’s better to open up then be quiet. The more your quiet the more you block yourself out in life and that’s not good. We always need people shining and going above. Parents are wise and can help you and even support you. Another thing you can do is spend time with people who have a positive impact on you like a close friend, you can go and watch a movie with them, play games, hangout, walk around and just talk. Your friends can make you feel better and much happier than being alone. Another thing you can do is something you find interesting or something to take your mind off of the stress. whether it be reading, drawing, playing games, running, talking your pets, or just sleeping, it’s better to focuse on your needs and your mind then worry and stress yourself out over school. School is important, don’t get me wrong, but how can you focused and put your effort on school when you don’t have energy left in you? It’s always better to focuse on yourself and recharge or reset your mind so you are much calmer and much better at focusing on school.
As a Teen I personally understand the struggles of being a teen and I know full well of what goes on about tests, grades, family problems, self-issues and doubt and more. We all hit a low point in our lives and its completely normal to feel sad, angry, stressed, emotional and moody. It’s part of being a human. Humans are dependent being and can’t do thing by themselves. Everyone needs a little push every now and then and its okay to feel stress. what’s not okay is shutting down and leaving the things that once brought you joy. This is the end of my story, I hope this means something, anything is better than nothing. I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you on my next story, bye byee!
