Many pet organizations offer people the chance to foster pets or even volunteer so that the animals can get all the love and attention they need and all you have to do is sign up.
During a survey students were asked if they had the chance to foster or volunteer would they, the majority of them answering yes they would because they like animals others even saying “I would love to foster but I’m afraid that I might have to end up adopting the pet because I fall in love with it.”
Maria fosters the puppies her dogs give birth to. “I find it to be more humane then giving them to a shelter where they have a chance of being put down,”she explains.
“Plus I don’t mind a few fluff balls running around they are just adorable,”Maria says. What Maria does is she keeps the pups until they are able eat regular dog food without the assistance of a liquid being either milk or water making the dog food soft after they are able to do so she either sells the pups or gives them away to a family or person she finds suitable to take care of the pups.
Students attending La Joya High School said they would be willing to foster or volunteer explaining that they would like to help out.
“I love animals because they are so cute and they can make you happy but my schedule is hectic so if I were to help out I would need to volunteer,”stated another student at La Joya.
There are many animals who could use a foster home and many shelters who could use volunteers so why not try it out.
