Many La Joya Lobos attended the 2015 homecoming dance this past Saturday, on September 26th. In fact, so many attended that the dance wound up being sold out. This has never happened at La Joya before. Entering the dance, attendees walked upon a glorious red carpet.
The students’ first impressions were held at high standards.
A senior, Catherine Sanchez, said, “I was fairly impressed walking in. I loved the atmosphere and the decor.”
The night was filled with many things at which Catherine found her favorite occurrences, those being the opportunity to have fun with her friends and take pictures, since it is her senior year.
Classie Swope, another senior, found that, “The dance went very well considering it was sold out. It seemed that everyone had a good time.” The students inside found that the dancing was “lit”, and had a variety of music that ensured everyone was getting involved.
The students here at La Joya weren’t the only ones impressed with how the 2016 homecoming dance went. Every Lobo was dressed to impress. Ms. Martinez had stated, “That has never happened here at La Joya, I was impressed.” To hear that was shocking as a student.
They sold out which had multiple students that planned to pay at the door were left out of luck. So the next time you plan to attend the next homecoming make sure to get your tickets in advance! Don’t get left behind when your friends are having fun at the dance. To ensure you won’t be left at the door unable to enter, get your tickets in advance to the next poppin’ homecoming dance!
