December 7, 1941. Does that date bring anything into your mind? December 7, 1941 was the day that brought the United States into WWII with the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

74 years ago the Japanese had a surprise bomb attack on Pearl Harbor. This was a tragic day in history. Over 2,403 Americans were killed, another 1,178 were wounded and 188 U.S. aircrafts were destroyed in the attack.

As you may know, this bombing brought the United States into WWII. The United States joined the Allies to defeat Nazi Germany, Japan, and Italy. This war was one of the worst wars due to casualties and diseases.

As you read this short excerpt on Pearl Harbor, take a minute to remember those whose lives were lost due to the cowardly bombing of Japan and remember that the United States will never back down to anything and that’s why the U.S is the best.
