The Life of High School

August 21,2017 Gabriela Romero got interviewed at La Joya high school to explain her view of the year and many more.

Gabriela also known as Gabby for short is currently a senior here at LJHS, throughout the years she connected to school in many ways. Gabby plays basketball, joined Pride and Photo club, also became apart of H.O.S.A, worked the volleyball, football games and much more.

“I believe it will go by fast and be stressful in many ways but I think I’ll get through it.” Gabby said.

She played 2 years of high school basketball, this year being her 3rd and final year of high school basketball, and her position as center. As a center she is responsible for getting the rebounds and putting it back up, she also had to help out the other players. Throughout previous years she had plenty of support.

“My family and my girlfriend has supported along with her family, I also had coaches and teachers that believed in me and what I want to do.” says Gabby

She is also apart of sports medicine, which is very important for a school. Gabby helps athletes, makes the water for current practices, and makes ice packs if necessary. Gabby did a lot throughout the years, and stayed connected as well.

“Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. It always protects, always hopes, always preserves love never fails.” ~ 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8

“This is my favorite quote because it’s telling you love and what you shall seek for rather than believing you found the right love.” explained Gabby
