I think there are many reasons why student’s grades drop. Some may say is has to do with sleeping or it has to do with how smart they are or are the kids even trying? I see it happen a lot because I’m living in it.
My grades dropped drastically over this past year and one thing, I have to say is the real reason is the fact that schools don’t feel like school anymore it feels like if you have bad grades, you’re considered a bad and lazy person. It’s like when you get a bad grade on a test but tried your best now, you’re failing and to me and a lot off students that’s just draining and don’t get me wrong I’m more than thankful for the ability to be able to get education at a school but when I went from a 3.0 GPA to a 2.5 GPA and it’s not only me there’s so many smart and talented students that had this happen to them. Smarts has nothing to do with is it’s all about school and the pressure it puts on students.
So, you see the real answer too what smart really is it means you’re able to exceed in something your
good at and find interest in this has a lot to do with how teachers teach. Their kids won’t learn by making them write down pages and pages of notes and I get that every teacher teaches differently but statistics show the average teacher affects over 3,000 students during their career and for some teachers they don’t notice that and never will notice that and how could we really make a change. I see the schools trying but are they trying too late? For a lot of us we already got parents at home that take school very seriously and already put a lot of pressure on us.
I can go all day about why and how but I’m pretty sure the points clear I just hope this upcoming generation and generations will have a good school that will not put so much pressure when it comes to grades. Some may misinterpret this, but we just want change.
