Pro’s and Con’s of in Person and Online Learning

Pros+and+Cons+of+in+Person+and+Online+Learning

Avondale- In result of the global pandemic quite a few things have changed and the way students learn is one of them. Students now go to virtual school on laptops and there are many pros and cons to this and in person learning. Today we will dive in to the pros and cons of online schooling vs in person schooling.

There are many pros and cons to in person schooling and some of the pros are that in person learning provides a hands on experience, its easier for some of the students to retain that information, and some students enjoy that social interaction and it helps them work and participate easier.

” I think a pro would be the connections you make with your peers and teachers at school and the social interaction you have with everyone helps the environment be easier to work in”  said Senior Tyanna Hamilton.

But there are also many cons to this right now. Some of the cons to this are the kids have to be 6 feet apart so the classes would have to be smaller and more spread out which in turn creates a scattered schedule, another con is that you could still potentially catch the sickness. So that causes students and staff alike to be scared to returning to in person learning. On the other hand you have Online learning which on one hand is helpful by allowing students to attend school.

“Yea even though I would prefer to go to school in person I really don’t want to risk getting sick or getting any of my family sick so online school is good for that” said Sophomore Xavier Vasquez.

But on the other it also deprives students of social contact and the technology messes up and its hard to keep up with for both teachers and students. On another hand the connection of the internet is a big issue to.

“Online school is hard for me not only because the site messes up sometimes but mine or my teachers connection is usually off too and it makes it hard to work” said Senior Julio Barcenas

Even though there are many pros and cons to both in person and online learning right now we have to stick together so we all come out of this safe.
